New Team/Project Wiki |
You are probably already familiar with the world's most well-known wiki, Wikipedia. Here is how Wikipedia currently defines wiki: "A Wiki is computer software that allows users to easily create, edit and link web pages. Wikis are often used to create collaborative websites, power community websites and area increasingly being installed by businesses to provide affordable and effective Intranets or for use in Knowledge Management". As a software development tool (and within OnTime), a wiki can become an indispensable new way to collaborate and share knowledge visibly. |

Instead of sharing documents via email and painstakingly gathering input from team members one at a time, create your documents directly in the OnTime Wiki. Then team members with appropriate access can view and edit the document collaboratively. Everyone always has access to the latest version. Finding documents has never been easier. The OnTime Wiki leverages the project hierarchy, allowing project documents to be created wherever they should be placed logically. Clicking through the hierarchy with the Project Wiki tab selected, displays all wiki documents in that folder. Additionally, each project folder can have a designated wiki 'home page'. Other ways to find wiki documents include Table of Contents, Recently Changed Pages and an alphabetical drop-down list. |
| Project-level Attachments |
| The new project-level attachments feature allows OnTime to be used as a repository for all project related files, like spreadsheets, images and diagrams. The preview pane instantly generates a thumbnail image of files. |

| Project-level Custom Fields |
| Axosoft have extended OnTime's item-level customisation to the project level, providing the flexibility of adding custom fields to projects, if desired. These fields may be used to identify project managers, teams, direct customers, budget information, etc. |

| Drag and Drop Attachments |
| Attachments are nothing new in OnTime at the item level, but OnTime 2008 adds project-level attachments and drag and drop ability. The drag and drop functionality is especially useful when you want to attach multiple files at once - which is highly likely with project-level attachments. |
